=====IMPORT AUTORAMA February 15, 1998 Cow Palace San Francisco, CA=====
import autorama: The Goodtimes Motorsports Import Autorama was held on Sunday, February 15, 1998 at the Cow Palace in San Francisco. This was one of the very first indoor import car shows in the Bay Area, since most of the previous events were held outdoors at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds. Apparently, the event was a success, because there were griploads of people there! (of course the majority were of filipino or other asian descent, with ages ranging from 16 to 30) Even though the Cow Palace was extremely crowded that day, the turnout was only a fraction of the size of a Southern Cali showoff. Them LA peeps know how to represent! Speaking of represent, alot of local car clubs (Team CIPHeR, Jetspeed, Team Genesis, Reckless, R. Evolution, Outkast, etc) and dance crews (Rockforce, KandyGirls, and Chain Reaction) came out to show off their stuff. teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd

The DJ and dance competitions were pretty tight (got it all on tape, hehe), and everyone showed off their turbtablism/floor rocking skills! However, I was surprised as HELL when I heard that Rock Force (outta San Francisco) did not win the competition! I remember seeing these kids rock functions for years! And before I heard of them as Rock Force, me and the crew met Rob and the others, then known as the ill Figgas, at an underground hip hop function in Downtown San Jose's Japantown. I even rhymed on stage with Rob and his eskrima stick at the Import SuperDrags in Sacramento. Damn. That was a long time ago. Like 1995? I dunno. Since then, we've lost touch, but I watched them flex their skills at the Tribute to the Elements (hip hop showcase) at San Francisco's Maritime Hall in August of 97. They showed what bboying is all about as they battled (and won) against the much respected Style Elements crew. So why did they NOT win the Autorama Dance Showoff??? I think it's cause they showed real skills, and not some "cute" routine. Hmm..oh well.eamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd

Okay.. as for the CARS in the show, there were a few tight cars in attendance at Sunday's Autorama, but I couldn't believe that some of the Hondas actually had the nerve to show up to the car show wearing stock GSR wheels or even HUBCAPS! eeeeeew... and regarding some paint jobs..there were a few cars there that had more flakes than Kellogg's! Oh yeah, I forgot the Ford Escort that was there..with a "For Sale" sign.. what are you thiiiiiiinking?!?!? We all had a good laugh about that. We gotta love it! He turned the carshow into a used car lot! You should have seen some of the display themes.. from the Puff-daddy look to the playground.. from the fly girls to the dope cars.. the Import Autorama was definitely entertaining. teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd

Here's a pic of Francis's Starlet with the RedStar Racing Banner! Ya gotta represent for Tito and the guys!!! Francis has a different graphics scheme now, cause he laid some carbon fiber resin stuff over his TRD fiberglass hood. Don't ask. Anyways, this car sports 13x9 front and 13x10 Revolution magnesium wheels and Hoosier slicks. He has a bright yellow/red Momo seat to match his red wheels and rollcage, and yellow exterior color. Note the PI bumpers on the Starlet, instead of the black USA bumpers. This car won a 1st Place trophy in the Overall Performance class. Hey Francis, with all that red, blue and yellow, you need to put a Philippines flag on the top of your car!!! Pinoys represent! OR how about a Jollibee sticker? I mean JEEZ Mang Gani has that Ling Nam logo on his car, why not rock a Jollibee? Chicken Joy mmmmmmm..... teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd

OKAY. Here's the REAL picture!!!! Damn I don't know what's up about all the drama with Team Karma, but I'm glad it's all cool now!!! Here's Mike Burlas's red turbo SW20 Mr2, sporting custom bubble flares from PJ Bonifacio Auto Body in West Covina CA. If you want to order a set for your Mr2, call (909) 598-7441 and ask for Mike and give him the password "wider is better." PJ needs to call those guys at Pontiac and show them what wide body cars really look like! The boys at PJ Bonifacio Body and Paint are currently doing the project Mr2 for Toyota Racing Development, with the 2000GT wide body flare kit. Too bad the TRD guys didn't import the wiiiiide body race car kit, as seen on the Momo/Apex Mr2 and the PlayGT! Mr2 in Japanese magazines....anyways, props to Team Karma and sorry for the shady mix up guys!!!

Here's a big family portrait of our friends from Team Genesis outta San Jose. These guys have been real cool with us for the longest time, ever since I used to have Rotas on my Celica and ever since Nito's blue 2002 used to be that "shit brown" color. We got our cars painted guys!!!!! hahahah... Yeah we used to kick back with these guys and hook up at the Northern Cali street races way back in the day, when Courtney and all those other dudes were still down with the original Team Genesis, before they split off and formed Reckless. Check em out now at PSsst Magazine (Pacific Source) and GoatMilk? Productions. Anyways, this picture was taken out in front of the Cow Palace, as you can see in the photo. Props to Richard, Eddie, Charlene, JJ, William, and everyone else!!!teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher
We be Jammin... Here are three models from Jammin Productions posting on a fly blue AE-102 Corolla!!! Whoever owns this car... did a good job by putting that hood scoop on, that looks cool! Now all you need to do is get a 4AGZE Supercharged motor either from an 88 Mr2 SC or a Japan spec AE92 Levin SC like my boy Dennis Batangan from HyREV Motorsports in Hawaii/Japan... anyways, mate the 4AGZE dohc head with the 7AFE motor that currently comes with your Corolla... and since you already have that hood scoop, you have a perfect air intake cause the 4AGZE comes with a top mount intercooler!!! Unless of course you wanna be a pimp and front mount it... but you know! Peep the TMR logo too! Rodney got his stickers on ALL the Toys!!! Hey since you got that Tom's sticker on your car, I wonder if a bunch of fobs think your name is Tom? heehe! JK.... anyways man, you need to get the AE111 Levin logos for your car, stick em on the middle of your trunk... That's the pimp shit.... teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher trd  teamcipher trd  teamcipher teamcipher
Oh wow. I bet you're wondering why you are staring at a Honda right now. Yes, as everyone knows, we don't prefer to showcase Civics, but we just HAD to give this guy props for his style! This Civic was fixed up real tastefully. I don't know who owns this thing though! One thing man.... mg/mm??? Do you mean kg/mm??? Cause kg/mm is the dope new suspension manufacturer straight outta Japan that makes the dope springs and coilovers for the AE86. The Progressive Street Springs for the AE86 will drop your car 1.75 inch, and the single rate RACE springs drop you 2.25 inches!!! Just enough for a little more than one finger of fender gap if you have an AE86 Corolla GTS with 14 inch rims. But don't you dare cut em!!!! If you don't know where to get the kg/mm setup, you can call Philip Sy from Auto Plus in Daly City cause has em in stock. (650)757-7751 If you want to be REALLY hardcore, why don't you get kg/mm coilovers like my friend Cir from Daly City. You guys really gotta check out Cir's hachiroku. Anyways...back to the Civic... I like the way he put the black rims on his red car, especially with the little red line going around the lip. I'm not sure if those are 15 inch Mugen RNR wheels, or 15 inch Z.Speed lookalike wheels, but either way, it's a dope setup! Especially with the red anodized Z.Speed lugs and the matching red Eurolocks. Even though alot of the Northern Cali Hondas are getting a little too crazy with the mesh grills, this particular Civic makes it look ok. And the little black (or carbon fiber?) "flugle flaps" that are supposed to provide your front end with downforce... I don't know if that shit really works, but it looks tight! Until you fuck up and hit a parking block. OUCH Dammit! And the silver towhook??? Ganda! I don't know about the red "chinky eye" look, but the only thing this guy left out was the Denji projector lamps. Oh wait... isn't that a SOHC motor? Awwwwwwwwww man.......
